BBC1 National News visits Reprezent 107.3FM during a discussion by young London on the Lawrence murder case

Britain has started the year with one of the most memorable moments in the history of social justice. Gary Dobson David Norris, the two men found guilty of the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence, finally sentenced to minimum of 15 years two months and 14 years three months respectively after Lawrence was murdered as he waited for a bus in Eltham, South East London in 1993. He was 18 years old.

Our lunchtime presenters, Okorie and Rachel, brought the audience coverage of the sentencing of the case, discussing its impact through a live phone-in.

In the show, callers discussed the changes that have been created by the case over the past 18 years, though many of the contributors were very young when Stephen was murdered. The relationship between young Londoners and the police was also a hot topic.

During the show, the BBC visited our studio to interview our presenters and get the views of young London.
