Our Work
Reprezent 107.3fm
Reprezent 107.3FM is a vibrant youth-led radio station broadcasting to over 350,000 young people across London.
The station launched in August 2008 with a highly successful one-month FM broadcast focusing on issues around gun and knife crime. Ofcom then awarded Reprezent a five-year full-time FM frequency. Since March 2011 it has been broadcasting across London on 107.3FM.
Reprezent works in some of the most deprived areas in the UK. It helps create a positive change for young people, providing a platform for local talent to shine and for young people to improve their lives. We offer:
- Media training with nationally recognised qualifications that provide life skills in communication, team work, literacy and confidence
- Volunteering, internships and work opportunities at the station
- An active dialog with local and national decision makers on key issues
- Progression to further education and employment
We run a number of youth media projects and events such as ‘Sounding Out’ and ‘Off the Streetz’. These projects give 13-25 year olds transferable skills to progress onto Reprezent, where they gain real life work experience and volunteering opportunities. Our supportive and sustainable approach encourages young people to progress onto further learning, work experience and employment.
Over 3500 young people have been involved in our events, activities and educational projects to date and we have exciting plans to expand Reprezents impact across London.
We work with everyone from government ministers and local councils to companies and celebrities, keeping Reprezent fresh, unique and innovative.
