Description
In response to the needs of our adult learners and local communities, we have created a groundbreaking community learning course that brings together ESOL teaching and life coaching techniques, to provide learners with the necessary skills to define their goals, plan for action and make progress in their lives.
The course incorporates neuro-linguistic programming techniques for the learner to develop awareness of their skills, strengths and interests. Through training and support, advice and guidance, students are able to set short and long term goals, create a plan of work, and develop self confidence and motivation.
With the support of the tutor / coach Heather Roberts, group discussions and activities, learners are more equipped to make decisions about possible career paths, negotiate the process of job applications, interviews and how to access services or become a role model for their family.
We would like to bring this innovative approach to wider communities and work with you to bridge the gap between community learning and individual empowerment.
